In the sun-soaked realm of California’s renowned music scene, a new supergroup emerges, introducing The Project. Spearheaded by the acclaimed James Davis, lead guitarist of the 00s sensation Shameless, The Project is set to unveil their highly anticipated debut album, “Best Days,” on October 20th, 2023. Having garnered accolades like Best Hard Rock Band at the Southern California Music Awards and Best Metal Band at the Inland Empire Music Awards, Shameless left an indelible mark on the international stage. The lead single, “Best Days,” offers a tantalizing glimpse into the album’s sonic landscape. Opening with a captivating drum fill, the song weaves a nostalgic thread through its sound, balancing classic rock vibes with a contemporary production polish. Vocal nuances reminiscent of Black Sabbath and the dreamy guitars akin to Smashing Pumpkins create a rich tapestry. The track nods to rock legends Rush and brings in a pop sensibility reminiscent of Blink-182, showcasing The Project’s versatility.

Recorded at Arrowhead West Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and produced by Dennis Hill, alongside co-production and engineering by Steven Barnett and mixing/mastering by Mike Troolines, “Best Days” promises to be a polished and electrifying collection. As The Project shares the California spirit globally, their music video captures the essence of sun, sea, and shred, setting the stage for an exhilarating sonic journey through the Best Days.
