V.A.T – Press Play

From Thessaloniki comes Press Play, the fourth solo EP from producer and composer V.A.T, released on August 29, 2025. With all music written and produced by V.A.T, lyrics by the artist himself, and vocals delivered by Eljona Sinjari, this release shows an artist fully in control of his vision. Influenced by Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, and The Prodigy, V.A.T balances melody with rhythm, creating songs that are both emotionally rich and built for movement. The record opens with a rush of synth textures that immediately set the mood. The sound design feels cinematic, yet the pulse underneath keeps it grounded on the dance floor. Right away, you sense that this is more than just an electronic project—it is about storytelling through beats and melody.

“Feel the Night” stands out as one of the strongest tracks. The deep electronic grooves are paired with a sense of anticipation, almost like the first breath of night in a crowded city. Eljona Sinjari’s vocals bring a haunting touch, cutting through the layers with both strength and elegance. It’s a track that begs to be played loud, but also has the intimacy to work in headphones late at night. “How Can I Forget U” takes things in a more emotional direction. Built on melancholic chords and subtle rhythmic patterns, it reflects on memory and loss while still carrying enough drive to keep the energy alive. The blend of human voice and electronic texture here feels particularly striking, showing V.A.T’s strength as both a songwriter and a producer.

Across the EP, you hear how carefully the synths are sculpted. Every sound feels chosen with intent, from the shimmering highs to the heavy low end. V.A.T’s decision to handle the mixing himself for the first time adds another layer of authenticity—the music feels close, personal, and unpolished in just the right ways. Press Play is both a showcase of growth and a confident statement of identity. It proves that V.A.T is not just making beats but creating full sonic experiences, with Eljona’s voice adding the emotional dimension to the production. It’s a record that rewards movement, reflection, and above all, repeat listening
